The Key Table
The Key Table is a networked table and wall-mounted picture frame. The table’s embedded sensors read the impact with which things are set on it (i.e. keys). Like the amount a door is slammed, this is taken as a measure of the persons mental state. The picture frame on the wall is then tilted accordingly so that other inhabitants may use it as a visual indicator.

A commercial manifestation of the Bio Mapping project, the Greenwich Emotion Map was created by recording people’s emotions (through galvanic skin sensors) and location (through GPS) as they walked around the town of Greenwich. The resulting maps “encourage personal reflection on the complex relationship between oneself, the environment and ones fellow citizens. In a group, people then commented about their experiences and left annotations on the map.”
